About this rod
A nice little rod that can be used for light lure fishing, shallow water float fishing or close in legering, however the opportunity occurs.
Read full description on eBay The makers, Mitchell, have been around for years and have made some of the very best reels known, their rods are good, too.
The rod is built in two pieces of equal length. The grips are in a Duplon like material with the top piece screwing down to hold the reel.
The rings are evenly spaced and close enough to control the line during and after the cast.
The Matching Fixed Spool reel has been really well looked after. It is clean, has no nasty knocks nor scratches. it recovers line well and has all the adjustment capability to get an angler started with a fixed spool reel.
The old line should be replaced, the capacity of the spool is given as 220yards of 6lb. b.s.nylon monofilament or 200metrs of 2.72 kg b.s. Nylon. The spool drag nut is easy to set and the ratchet is both audible and secure. The Bale Arm Roller runs freely.
Reason for sale: I acquired this rod as part of a job lot of tackle and I already have lure rods and reels.
Delivery offered will be by a major parcel carrier and is limited to addresses with a UK Post Code.
This includes the UK Depot for the Global Shipping Programme.
Regretfully, remote areas, Highlands & Islands, etc. will attract a Freight Surcharge which I will have to pass on, at cost.
For protection during delivery the rod will be packed in a strong tube and sealed.
Local collection or exchange can be arranged.
