Everything on AlrightRod is pre-owned. We track fishing rods as they are newly listed on eBay by UK sellers and record what each one actually is — maker, length, test curve, rod type — so you can compare like with like instead of guessing from a listing title.
Second-hand is where the value sits in fishing tackle. A rod is a passive piece of equipment: it does not wear out the way a reel or a line does, and a well-kept carbon blank from ten years ago will fish just as well as one bought this season. The savings are largest on premium and specialist makers, whose rods keep their casting characteristics but not their retail price.
We do not sell rods. Every listing links straight through to the eBay listing it came from, where the seller sets the price and handles the sale. What we add is the structure: consistent naming, recorded specifications, and a way to filter by brand, type and price.
