About this rod
VERY RARE Hardy Bros. Ltd, Alnwick — "Palakona" split cane fly fishing rod, with spare tip and original Hardy cloth bag.
Vintage Hardy Palakona rod in used, unrestored condition. Marked "HARDY BROS LTD / MAKERS / ALNWICK" on the butt, with the "Palakona" script and what I read as serial number 46898. After concluding my product research, I can confirm this was made in the late 1800s. This brand is the staple for high quality British made fishing rods. I cannot find a rod like this online with all pieces included.
What's included

Two cane mid/tip sections
One spare tip section
Brass ferrules, marked "HARDY'S PAT / RINGS No 2807"
