Sage XP 590-4 9-10ft 5 weight Fly Rod

SAGE XP 590-4 – 9ft #5 Weight – 4 Piece Fly Fishing Rod

A genuine Sage XP 590-4, 9ft, 5-weight, 4-piece fly rod in good used condition.

This is the highly regarded Sage XP series, constructed from Graphite IIIe, and is a sought-after older Sage model.

The rod is complete with all four sections, which have been assembled and checked. The sections slot together correctly and the rod appears straight when assembled.

Included

* Sage XP 590-4 fly rod
* 9ft / 5 weight / 4 piece
* Original Sage rod sock
* Hard protective rod tube

Condition

The rod shows signs of previous use consistent with its age, but overall presents very well.

The cork handle is in particularly good condition, with the natural variation and markings characteristic of cork rather than excessive wear.

The blank, guides, reel seat and fittings appear in good condition from inspection. Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description.

I have not professionally tested the rod for casting performance, so it is being sold on the basis of its visible condition and completeness.

A great opportunity to own a classic Sage XP without paying the price of a new premium fly rod.

Please note: This is a used vintage/discontinued fishing rod and is not being represented as new or factory refurbished.
